  1. Negative consequences.

  2. Bribery, positive reinforcement and modeling. Or just accept that it won't change and live with it.

  3. the masses, innuendo.  Any given person, impossible to tell

  4. ...the acceptance of a positive outlook of his life and making it better...

  5. Reason never swayed anyone's opinion. www.changingminds.org actually has a lot on this topic.

  6. The only person who can change a person's mind is their own person.  You can try to change their mind, but all you can really do is influence it.  And even that, not much.

  7. That person.

  8. It depends on the person--If you are dealing with someone who researches and is open minded--they will be likelier to be convinced by reason.

Negative innuendo, on the other hand, is a scare tactic, and is fear based. Someone who uses these techniques would be preying on the fearfull person--It may work to use negative innuendo with them.  This tactic, though, in my mind, is deceptive. Check out this website: www.Changingminds.org It is all about persuasion--It is one of my favorite websites, because it really makes you think.
