  1. the valuble metal in the world till this date is platinum

  2. The most valuable regularly traded metal is rhodium, which is currently worth about US$5000 an ounce.  But some metals are so rare that they can't be bought at any price. Most metals heavier than plutonium have only ever been manufactured a few atoms at a time and quickly disappear because of radioactive decay.  Americium is about the only exception I know of; smoke alarms contain a few nanograms.  Rhodium, osmium, platinum, iridium are all stable, their prices fluctuate wildly but since they've all got important industrial uses, for instance as catalysts, investing in them is safe.  None of them will ever be plentiful.

  3. Well, value depends on both rarity and desirability, depending on what you consider "valuable".  In terms of having a considerable buyer's market, but being extremely rare and thus having an exceptionally high price, I'd say Plutonium is the most valuable metal in the world.

In terms of metals that are regularly traded and are unregulated, it would probably be Rhodium, which goes for about $5k/ounce.

  4. gold

  5. Platinum is actually more valuable than gold.

That being said, if you get into the heavier elements and their isotopes, platinum and gold are dwarfed in price (some, like uranium, are even highly controlled by government agencies).
