  1. MSL: Mean Sea Level

    AGL: Above Ground Level

  2. MSL ≡ Mean Sea Level

    AGL ≡ Above Ground Level

AMSL ≡ Above Mean Sea Level

    ASL ≡ Above Sea Level

    AAE ≡ Above Airport Elevation

The standard datum plane is not fixed.  It fluctuates above and below Mean Sea Level.

On sectional charts obstructions are labeled in feet above MSL, and parenthetically in feet AGL.

Altitudes on some Jeppesen charts specify ASL.

  3. MSL is Mean Sea Level, or height above a the standard Datum plane.

AGL is Above Ground Level, or actual height above the ground.

The MSL of an airport could be 716' MSL (kyip case your wondering) so if a there is a tower on the field  that is 200' tall, its is 916' MSL, or 200AGL.

  4. above posts are correct.

  5. MSL = Altitude Above Sea Level (MEAN SEA LEVEL)

AGL= Altitude Above Ground (ABOVE GROUND LEVEL)

Airspace altitudes on aviation charts are always in MSL
