What is multiculturalism and how do you feel about the idea of living in a multicultural society?

What is your full opinion of the idea?

multiculturalism: several different ethnic, racial, religious or cultural groups co-existing in the same society.

When people are open, it can be really fun, you get to learn things that otherwise you wouldn't know, like tasting new foods, listening to new music, learning new words, understanding different ways of acting...

but also there are lots of people who think only their culture is right, and that's when racism comes out, and I think there's too much of that these days.

What is it?  More  than one culture.

My opinion?  I'm delighted to live in an area considered to be multicultural: Santa Cruz, CA.

I'm happy, feel favored, proud and tickled.  Who could ask for more than to stay put and still be able witness and enjoy  the lifestyles and habits of people different from myself?
