Question:

What is my cat's skin problem?

My kitten cheeco has some red hairless spots all around this face and the back of his neck. Its nowhere else on his body. The spots have bumps and are on his lips, above both of his eyes, and behind his ears. I don't know whats wrong, could it be fleas? Or could it be something more serious? My other cat Nala has bumps too, but just behind her ears, but there is still hair there. And our 3rd cat has no problems at all, but we did find a flea. He recently came back from running away, so i don't know if that would have anything to do with it. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know. Answers are greatly needed.

  1. Could be anything really, skin reacts in similar ways to many different problems.

Bacterial infection, fungal infection, allergies, fleas or other parasites, etc, etc.

To be sure what's going on you should really go and see your vet, no ne on here can tell you what's going on from a description.

As for could it be deadly, we couldn't tell you that either, however if you've got more than one affected cat then it's unlikely to be skin cancer.

  2. Maybe ring worm or some kind of parasite
