What is my dog really doing when he is smiling at me?

Question

I don't mean to read too much into a simple case of anthropomorphy, but my dog keeps smiling at me; at least that's what it looks like TO ME, but it's making me really uneasy because I don't know what he's thinking about. What does your dog do when he smiles? Does this mean "angry"? Is it ok to smile at my dog I dont want him to perceive it as a threat.

hahaha my dog does that a lot when she's happy! i just smile back and rub her tummy!

I think it means he want's you in the |3all$! ;) mm! But probably want's a treat.. lol I could think of something else funny to write with that, but I'm too lazy to... but then again, I DID just write all that! So i probably could have wrote what i was going to write, but i'm to slow... hmm.

  Dont worry my dog smiles all the time big and happy. Both of them. My dogs are perfectly healthy and they are not bad dogs and they like everyone in my house. My dog is smiling at me right now like this 0.0
