  1. Pick the Leopard Gecko up and look on it's underside if there's a dark before  the tail it is male.

  2. Look at the very base of the tail. If there is a slight bulge on each side of the base of the tail (left and right), it is a male. The bulges are the male lizards "parts". However if there is not any thickness at the base of the tail, it is a female.

  3. On the left is an adult male Leopard Gecko. You can see that the bulge behind the vent is quite noticeable. That is where the hemipenes are located. You can also readily see the row of femoral pores shaped like a "V" in front of the vent.

On the right is a female Leopard Gecko. As you can see, she has neither the bulge nor a noticeable row of pores. There is a row there, but it is really not that noticeable.

You will have to wait til the Gecko is old enough, over 6 months at least to really be sure. Juvenile male Leopard Geckos look very much like females.

  4. actually on leopard gecko's it is not obvious as to what the s*x is. google sexing leopard gecko's and you should be able to find some photo's and just compare yours to the photo's!

I bought a book on mine and it had photo's in the book and thats how i sexed mine!

  7.   ok the question was with out bring it somewhere right? some people cant read,If you do not know the breeder you will have to wait until the Leopard Gecko matures a bit to be able to tell. I'm not certain on the exact age at which you can tell but I believe 6 months is a good age to be able to start to tell. (Breeders and experienced herpetologists can generally give a good idea before this time though.) When they mature, male Leopard Geckos get a row of very noticeable pores shaped like a "V" between their legs in front of the vent. If these pores are "invisible" or hardly noticeable you have a female. Males are generally larger and have blockier heads while females are more streamlined in the head area. email me ill send a great link

  8. If your leos are adults, it should be fairly obvious once you know what you're looking for. The following picture should help.
