What is my mind trying to tell me, or not tell me?

Question

The other day I went to an amusement park with a coworker. I met her daughter for the first time. I immediately found myself attracted to my coworkers daughter. The daughter is the same age as I am. I can usually pick up on body language and sentences, you know reading between the lines. But with this girl, I could not. I am having trouble understanding why I could not. We had a few decent conversations throughout the day, and she even volunteered to stand in a long line with me. But was this out of courtesy, wanting to ride the ride, wanting to spend time with me, or a combination of any? I know she liked the ride... I guess what is really bugging me is not if she likes me, but why I could not pick up any signals good/bad/indifferent from her at all? Any advice on this "Kryptonite" would be extremely helpful.

Tell your co-worker you'd like to ask her daughter out. You should get some sort of signal right there. or, just call her and ask her out for dinner.

Could it be that her mother was present? Who knows, maybe you co-worker wanted the two of you to meet and see how you hit it off! The only way you'll find out is, as someone suggested, you speak to your co-worker first. That would be the respectful thing to do.

omg! its like your Edward and shes Bella! omg, if she wants to spend time with you maybe she likes you, casually get in touch with her again i guarantee you wont regret it!

Without second guessing yourself....what do you think?

And what's the worst case scenario if you assume she does like you and you ask her out on a date?  Yep, you guessed it - worst case she says "no, thank you".  And then you move on knowing she's just a really nice person.
