What is my position if my employer did not pay tax and NIC even though my payslip shows these deductions.?

Your position is that you are deemed to have paid. You employer is guilty of fraud, it will not affect your tax or NI record.

Contact HMRC fraud on 0800 788 887, open Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. They will ensure your records are credited the correct amounts and your employer will be prosecuted for tax evasion

Your position is not bad.  However, if I were you, I'd be reporting the employer for fraud to the appropriate agencies.

sounds like u are what they call . emergency tax.

have u just started that job,

this can go on 4 upto 6-8 weeks when u 1st start work

don 't worry ,

the payroll section will sort it out onur behalf.
