Can anyone tell? He has almost ALL of the standard WH Doxie features, even the dachshund bark and attitude. But his legs are longer, or maybe he is full?

This is a full-blooded standard right here (not mine)...

  1. Maybe a shih tzu or scottie

  2. Looks to me like the dog has a bit of terrior in it also.  Just by looking at the face and body style.

  3. In the first picture, he looks like a purebred wirehair dachshund, but then the profile is another story.  He does have long legs.  He can still very well be a purebred.  Remember, that originally, terriers were bred to dachshunds to create the wirehairs.  The legs on a wirehair sometimes can be a little longer.   But then again, It very well can be there's a little schnauzer mixed in somewhere.

BTW, I also own a Standard Wirehair, he's almost 10 inches at the shoulder.

  4. Looks to me like some mini schnauzer in there.

  5. In the first pic he looks mostly dachshund..  but the angle doesnt really show his legs well.

I can see what you mean by long legs in the second pic!  Im going to guess that maybe there's a little bit of beagle or terrier in the mix.
