Okay, Are you asking just because you are bored and just thinking of questions at random ( I do the same thing sometimes so please dont take offence)  Or are you asking because you are getting a pet and need suggesions in which if you discribe what sort of pet you are getting and if you know what it looks like I can help you more.

Well, if this is just a random question here is my answer

I have three cats:  The first one is a female gray fluffy cat.  She is around 7 yrs old now and the big mamma of the clan.  I call her Zoey.  I didnt pick her name out tough, when I got her she already had that name and so I just kept it

My second cat is also a female (american short hair) Tuxedo cat (she is black and white)  She is two years old now and tiny.  She is the princess of the group.  Very picky about what she eats, very picky about her looks (if she gets one drop of water on her tail for instance, she will spend the next hour or more cleaning herself and getting every fur just right)  I call her Lucy as she reminds me of so many Lucy's such as Lucy from the old I Love Lucy show on television, Lucy from Charlie Brown, Lucy Lu the martial artist actress .....etc

My last cat is also an american short hair, black cat with a patch of white on his chest and tummy.  He is 10 months old now and very big, weighing I would say about 20 pounds by now.  Yes, he is a boy (I thought it was a girl when got him at 8 wks old but turned out to be a boy)  He is the alpha male of the group.  He is also crazy.  He gets into anything and everything and when I come home from work, no matter how tired I am I have to play with him, it is not a request it is an order.  He is named after one of the X-men, Wolverine who's real name was Logan and that is what I call him, Logan.  

My friend has two cats a siamese and a tabby and she loves Disney movies, especially the Lion King and named her cats from that movie Kiara and Kovu.  

There is a stray cat in my neighborhood and when he comes around I call her Gypsy because she never stays in one place very long

Well, I hope I helped you or satisfied your curiosity.  I didnt want to just give you names but tell you a little about each pet so you can get a feel of why they are called the names that they are.
