  1. Nero 8 is a CD / DVD burning app with delusions of grandeur - you don't need it.  If you need a player try the VLC player - it's free and it'll play most things.


  2. It is a dvd viewing and dvd/cdr recording studio. I'm guessing your camera is set to play on it. It is a very handy program to have for watching movies, burning cd's and dvd's.
