  1. If you've heard an add for ComputerTraining.com on the radio (in the philly area we can't avoid them), you've found their affiliate partner I guess.  But to be more on point, New Horizons Learning Center is a place where you can learn and take classes for various IT certifications.  These classes are more for the avid PC user who wants to turn their hobby into a career managing and configuring computer networks.  Ignore what they tell you about being able to make so much money because most likely you'll make less.  As for cost, when I last checked for my own means, the full gambit of certifications ran well over $24,000 dollars.  Beware though, because for lets say a basic Comptia A+ certification, they give you 2 weeks of in lab and face to face training to prepare you to take the exam.  The exams may cost you extra ($163 for each of the 2 tests) and you may be eligible for a discount through them.  The course will cost you at least $3000 and pass the test or not, you're out 3 grand :(.  Go in skeptical, buy what the recruiter is trying to sell you with a grain of salt and make your own judgment.  I'd say the amount of novices or beginners that take these kinds of classes is fairly high, but their success rate is highly determinant on how much technical information they can absorb.
