I have been to Vegas many times before, but haven't been there in about 2 years. Is there any new or improved attractions there? Are the downtown and strip areas the same? What is there to do for a 40 yr old guy traveling alone?

  1. The biggest thing is what isn't here anymore. The Stardust and Frontier are gone. Lots of construction going on. The Palazzo is open as is the Trump Tower. If you can't find anything to do here then you won't find anything anywhere else.

  2. Vegas is constantly going through changes. The strip looks different from 2 years ago. The Frontier hotel is gone. The Palazzo is built, the Encore is almost done. The city center is under construction. The list goes on.

As far as thing to do, there is no shortage of things to do in Vegas. Here is a long list of activities. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/things-to...

  3. Downtown is the same.  On the Strip this past January the Palazzo opened next door/connected to the Venetian.

The Stardust and Frontier are gone, boooom.  The Encore was to replace the Stardust but just started been placed on hold due to the economy.  Trump Tower opened on the land behind what was the Frontier, which one day will be The Plaza, also on hold.

You can enjoy looking at City Center as it grows and grows in the middle of the Strip near Monte Carlo.

Wet'n Wild is gone and another project is growing there.

Otherwise, the fun is still the same.  Go see one of the Cirque shows, the latest at Mirage "Love" is a tribute to the Beatles.
