What is next for the fright industry?

We survived radon gas, electric wires near our houses, cell phones, aerosol cans. We're now smack dab in the middle of the "evil white men cause global warming" hysteria. That should die down once everybody understands the cold, hard facts. So what's on tap for the fright industry? Any interesting projects coming up?

You forgot about food.  People are still confused as to what is safe to eat.  Poor people.

My guess is the nest scare tactic will be that taking a stand on an issue can cause cancer, heart attacks, and strokes.  This way the control freaks will have us as zombies.  Just a guess.

Herschel, my boy, this is easy:  The next big fright will be getting hit by the small asteroid that is supposed to come close to the Earth in the year 2029.  The current orbital calculations put the miss at about 10,000 miles.

Look for this one to start in about 2010.
