I am interested in moving to the UK with an agency to work as a nurse. I have my Bachelor's degree and am a Registered Nurse. Any information would be great.

  1. Honestly?

I love the people I have the privilege to treat and care for BUT I am now forever bogged down more and more with repetitive paperwork. Also forever watching my back against possible litigation.

One of the last lectures I attended said for me to view every patient as a possible litigation case. Now that's scary!

Whatever happened to good old fashioned nursing!

  2. most nurses leave the uk, many come from africa tho? so apparently its better than in africa...?

  3. i've been nursing in the uk for 21 years on and off and i've worked in all the different fields but i found that in the NHS the nurses work long shifts with not much pay,we do a brilliant job every nurse does but we don't get thanks for our hard work.if you work privately like i ended up doing the pay is much better and the hours are shorter,i ended up working with the terminally ill and i really loved my job it gave me lots of satisfaction to think that i was helping someone live there last bit of time on earth the way that they wanted.so if you ask me here in the uk were crying out for dedicated nurses so i would go for it and there are pros's and cons for working with either the NHS or  privately.

  4. d**n hard work, this is my very, very last day as a Registered Nurse after 37.5 yrs of hard slog I've had enough retiring today.

If you want to work  for the NHS the very best of luck to you.

  5. very hard demanding work

  6. UK?
