Tennis is year round for serious tennis players. For others it is throughout the spring season, summer season, and the fall season.

It starts from monday of first week of each year...even if monday comes b4 Jan 1  of the year..u have to play..that's when ur Tennis season actually starts...it goes throughtout the year in different countries and different cities...u have 10 masters series events ( for Men ) and Tier I Tournies (for women)..few tournaments are JOINT..i.e where both and women's tournament can take place in conjunction coz they have enuf courts..some tournaies,besides the 4 main Grand slams are 2 week long.eg.Indian Wells and Miami...plus 4 slams...Australian Open in last 2 weeks of January, French Open last 2 weeks of May or 2 weeks from may last week....Wimbledon last 2 weeks of June..US Open fom last week of august or sep 1st week....it finally ends at Year-end Championships ( for women ) and the Masters Cup for men...in which ONLY top 8 point getters of the year play....in between the regular season tournies... men play Davis Cup and women play Fed(eration) cup..as official country tournaments...in the very first week of the season..u have mixed team tournament...The Hopman Cup in Australia..which is for just 1 week...in which each of the 8 participating countries nominate 1 male and 1 female players...and a tie between each cuntry consists of a men's and a women's singles match..plus a mixed doubles match...
