  1. Go to Control Panel, then 'Add or Remove Programs'.  Have a look for programs you don't use anymore, but don't delete things you don't know about!!!

Then go to Search 'For Files or Folders', in the Start menu.  Select 'What size is it?' select 'Large' and hit the Search button.

Once again, don't delete stuff unless you know what it is.  Most particularly, don't delete things under the "C:\Windows" or "C:\Program Files" directories.

Good luck ... you might want to take a backup first!

  2. Get rid of system 32. It is all useless.

  3. It depends on what you install in the computer because sometimes if you install it wrong it might end up on the C Drive.

The only three things that SHOULD be there though are:

    Documents and Settings

    Program Files

    Windows

(At least what you can see)

    Anything else is usually garbage.

  4. While some items can be "Deleted" or even un-Installed" you should be very careful when doing so as you can damage your C;/ drive beyond repair and have reinstall Windows from scratch.

IF you are not sure of WHAT to remove, then don't .

Reinstalling Windows and all your other programs and drivers is no fun.

It really would be best to have someone who KNOWS  what to remove and what to leave.

Without knowing exactly what you have on there and why you need to remove items, I cannot offer anything further. Good luck .
