One other source is Kulture Flash www.kultureflash.net - has a few carefully picked cool things going on in town.

I'm going to the "Get Loaded in the Park" concert on Sunday 27th in Clapham Common (South London).  It's probably sold out, but you may be able to hear the music from outside (cue a picnic).  Clapham Common tube station is on the northern line.  Also Notting Hill Carnival runs right over the bank holiday weekend.  It's really fun, but beware of stations closing so plan a route home in advance.  Have fun!
