What is one exciting thing to do in Montreal?

Well, I am going to Montreal some time in August for only a weekend, so I want to know the best thing to do/get in Montreal. Maybe something it's famous for, like a special dish, or a special show or something that is only in Montreal.

You want some unique to Montreal.  Something out of the ordinary for a tourist.

Try the Quebecois bar in Old Montreal.  I am not sure about the exact name "il perrot"?, it is located on the street parallel to the river, right in the hear of old Montreal.

Go late at night, live performances, great audience participation.

Sing along, even if you do not speak a word of French.
