What is one of the best ways to say when someone asks you ?

what happened between you and so and so....To not hurt feelings...just say.."oh, we just went in different directions"...Cuz she did move and so did I???? Plus you know how people talk and you do NOT want anything bad to get back to her...you know????

That sounds good.  You could always ask "Why do you ask?" and see what their reason for being so intrusive is.
