People of ALL ages can play it. It caters to all life stages....and you can keep playing it into your 80's...no other sport can claim that...imagine a 80 year old playing football, or even tenis....

Well, first of all golfers police themselves.  There are rules officials in place but the majority of infractions are reported by the player that incurred them.  My favorite aspect of the game is that the playng field is always different.  Even if you play the same course, there will be different pin placements, tee set ups, green speeds, rough heights, and weather conditions.  And then you figure in the fact that there are literally thousands of different places to play all over the country, every game is different.  You have a different experience every time you go out to play.  Different courses pose different challenges, so different aspects of your game are tested on a regular basis.

Golfers police themselves.  There is always a cheater in the crowd but for the most part, you can trust the other competitors to be honest.  When you play in tournaments, there would be nothing to stop your 4some from shooting any score you so choose.  This is true even in mini-tour events and national amateur championships.  No one is watching most of the time but the two or three guys you're playing with.  It is one of if not the only sport left where you'll see that kind of integrity.
