I am pretty sure it is for beginners in boxing(if not beginners then it's for people who aren't really good, small in size, and don't know how so they let them box and see how they do) i dont think its showed on tv but its just a name i think for either (like i said) Beginners, people who aren't really good, small in size, or maybe people who don't nessecarily know ALL the rules of boxing and they let em' fight. hope this helps
