What is or what does the Hotelling t measure?

I am doing a research paper, and the researchers conducted a Hotelling t measurement, and i wanted to know what it was and what does it measure??

It's a generalization of student's t statistic - used in multivariate hypothesis testing. It is a T squared distribution statistic in computation. ( one dichotomous independent variable and multiple dependent variables ).
