It's Portuguese. If you go onto ellis island.org you can type in a last name and see what countries passengers with he last name were from. Amorin had people mostly from Portugal, but a couple from Cuba and Spain as well.

i googled it a few names came up - my conclusion maybe its Latin meaning spanish,portugeseee...etc
