Are there known physical elements that make up our consciousness?

  1. If by physical you mean via physics, then yes. Consciousness is defined as thoughts, sensations,  emotions, dreams, and an awareness of self. Thoughts are energy waves a.k.a quantas.


  2. Polyurethane.  And rubber bands.

  3. The physical elements that make up our consciousness are the functioning neurons of the brain.  (There is some new information that astrocytes may also play a part.)  

    The consciousness is the working of the brain in the same way that the pulse is the result of the working of the heart.

    The mechanisms of the brain are numerous and too complicated to write in such a small space.
