  1. The generally accepted age for the Earth and the rest of the solar system is about 4.55 billion years.

  2. really...  REALLY  old.

  3. You are going to need about four and a half billion candles for this party.  That is a whole lot of candles.   We have only been here a very short time, as a species, and I have only just arrived at the ripe age of 46 years.

  4. 455,000,000

    this might help

its a bit complicated , but i love it

  5. No one, and I mean no one can say with any certainty the age of the earth, the solar system or the Universe. The generally accepted age of the Universe is 10-20 billion years. That age is derived from distance to other stars, the elements, and a few other factors. It is not unreasonable to assume a very old Universe. (By the way, contrary to some beliefs, an old Universe DOES NOT contradict the Bible)

The current model of the Universe is the Big Bang Model which so far has proven fairly predictive with what science discovers. There continues to be, however, the big "WOW" in scientific discoveries; and as far as I can tell, most reliable scientists are still not certain that the current laws of physics were valid at the moment of creation(BIG BANG)

Bottom line, the age of the earth is an interesting topic but it has little relevance to why the earth is here at all and it has no relevance to how each of us should live life.

  6. God knows better

  7. I have only been on this planet myself for about 31 years, so thats all I can personally prove... so my answer is 31 years old!

  8. h**l if i know i just got here

    :>)

  9. Try 4,600 million years old

  10. age of the Earth to be around 4.567 billion years

  11. about 4.5 billion

  12. The generally accepted age for the Earth and the rest of the solar system is about 4.55 billion years (plus or minus about 1%). This value is derived from several different lines of evidence.

  13. Let me make it simple-really old.

  14. Way older than the 6,000 years.

  15. 4.55 years and aging!

  16. According to scientific and geological evidence, about 4.55 billion years (+/- 1%)
