My son has been diagnosed with pancreatic . I would appreciate any information on this I could get.Thank you,Worried Mother What should I do,how do we make it go away,what symptoms are there?

Did you mean Pancreatitis perhaps? That's an inflammation of the pancreas which may cause pain, nausea, fever, rapid heart beats,etc.

Your son needs to go to the hospital if he has pancreatitis. This condition is very serious and requires management in the hospital setting.

I believe you are asking about pancreatitis. If it is not so you may ignore this answer.

Acute pancreatitis is associated withgall stones, alcohol and some other uncommon causes. The principal symptom is

pain in the upper abdomen. The pain may radiate to the back.

There can be accompanying nausea and vomiting. Acute pancreatitis can be totally cured.

Chronic pancreatitis is usually due to alcohol consumption.

Chronic pancreatitis is usually not reversible but will get very much better when you refrain from alcohol.
