What is papaya supposed to taste like?

I like mangos and they taste sweet and juicy.. but im eating these papayas and they taste almost literally like rubber...

you have to acquire a taste for that fruit. they are eaten cold and in the morning and its good i love them.  they are good not tasting like a mango but they are good Hope you like them they are like eating grapefruit for us.

Yes they smell like vomit and a boring version of mangoes. I too could never get around to liking Papaya. A very boring fruit with lot of nutritional value.
