I heard some people are able to retract their foreskins all the way for long periods of time without any sign of danger. But I thought if you leave the f******n retracted for a long time, you will be in danger and blood will be stopped.

Also, is the age of 16 to finally enabling to retract it all the way too late? I heard you will get an infection if you don't wash it constantly but I just did it now. Do I have an infection?

  1. Paraphimosis is essentially where the f******n becomes trapped behind the head.  But if it went behind the head it should be able to go back over, especially while flaccid.  The head can be "squished" quite abit so normally this is solved by easing the skin back over.  A more serious case could result in a loss of bloodflow, however, something like this would be difficult to do... unless there is some sort of major swelling that happens while the f******n is retracted.

Retraction for some guys wont happen until later in puberty, you are fine.  There are stretching exercises some people will do to speed the process up, but overall people can be paranoid about it and even if you cant retract by the end of puberty stretching exercises should fix this problem for most guys.

As for cleanliness... the f******n doesn't really require special care and washing with soap all the time can actually cause redness/soreness AND eventually infection.  Soap removes the bad AND good bacteria.  After you are done using shampoo and other products, simply pull back the f******n, hand rinse, and you're done.  You do this after using other products to be sure the area is rinsed free of any cleaners.  When drying you can "touch" dry the area with a towel (ouch, no scrubbing!).   If you follow this, you should have no problems.
