  1. parapsychology is the evidence of psychological phenomena like telepathy and telekneissis but they have been inexplicable by science

  2. You are labeling something that has always existed. Being in touch with other realms is not uncommon.

  3. Psy and DR said it all. But , I'll throw in some things that I believe. Spirits, ghosts, poltergeists, demons, shadow people angels etc. are names that people through the ages have given to "entities" that people have experienced. There's no way we can really know what they are. ..even after some people say they have seen them. Whatever they are seems to be judged by their attitude and actions. If they throw things around..people usually think they're poltergeists. If they're helpful..they usually think they're angels. If they look like family members , friends , or regular people..they seem to think they're spirits. If they hang around a long time and are kinda spooky ..they usually think they're ghosts. If they're really mean and really scary looking...they seem to think they're demons.

I don't see how anyone could say that none of them exist because for at least thousands of years people have been seeing, hearing and experiencing them. They're even in the Bible. (I don't know about other people's religions because I haven't read up on them.) I've had experiences for myself...so I KNOW there's SOMETHING out there that we can't see.

I don't know what else parapsychologists study. Maybe UFOs..but I'm not sure.

I think sometimes spirits etc. contact us or try to contact us. I think it's best not to try to contact them...because you never know who or what you'll get. Sometimes you just have to try to trust that our loved ones are ok...instead of trying to hear from them. I know that's hard to do.It's just that even if you think you hear from them or see them in spirit...there's no way you can know for sure it's them. If they want to..or can..come to visit us..then they will (and are probably around when we don't realize it.) After all these thousands of years...nobody knows for sure...either way.

If you've lost any loved ones...one thing you can do is keep their pictures around...just in case they do see us...and they'll know you haven't forgotten them.

  5. PARAPSYCHOLOGY

Term coined in German by Max Dessoir (1889) and adopted by J. B. Rhine in English to refer to the scientific study of paranormal or ostensibly paranormal phenomena, that is, psi; except in Britain, the term has largely superseded the older expression “psychical research;” used by some to refer to the experimental approach to the field. [From the Greek para, “beside, beyond,” + psychology, derived from the Greek psyche, “soul, mind,” + logos “rational discussion”

    What is parapsychology?

Parapsychology is the scientific and scholarly study of three kinds of unusual events (ESP, mind-matter interaction, and survival), which are associated with human experience. The existence of these phenomena suggest that the strict subjective/objective dichotomy proposed by the old paradigm (see below) may not be quite so clear-cut as once thought. Instead, these phenomena may be part of a spectrum of what is possible, with some events and experiences occasionally falling between purely subjective and purely objective. We call such phenomena "anomalous" because they are difficult to explain within current scientific models.

Parapsychology only studies those anomalies that fall into one of three general categories: ESP (terms are defined below), mind-matter interaction (previously known as psychokinesis), and phenomena suggestive of survival after bodily death, including near-death experiences, apparitions, and reincarnation. Most parapsychologists today expect that further research will eventually explain these anomalies in scientific terms, although it is not clear whether they can be fully understood without significant (some might say revolutionary) expansions of the current state of scientific knowledge. Other researchers take the stance that existing scientific models of perception and memory are adequate to explain some or all parapsychological phenomena.

Contact with the surviving spirit of a human being remains an open question as is the question of do humans survive death in any form.

I have provided you links below that are efforts to study this question in a scientific manner.

    This should help!

  7. Parapsychology is the scientific and scholarly study of human experiences that transcend conventional boundaries of space and time, and do not involve the ordinary senses.

A parapsychologist is not a psychic or medium. The former studies the latter.

There is scientific evidence that the information reported by some psychics and mediums is genuine. But so far there is no independent way to conclusively demonstrate that what mediums perceive as "spirits" are independent entities.

  8. Parapsychology works more with perceived phenomena that are connected closely to human abilities.
