  1. PayPal is a great way to buy online without revealing any personal financial information to the seller. PayPal protects your financial info.  If you use eBay, most sellers will accept PayPal.  It is also a great way to pay friends and family for the times the "cover" you when you forgot your wallet at home :)

  2. PayPal is a secure site to send payments to other people, who have PayPal, and who do not have PayPal. By using paypal on a merchant site instead of the merchants own checkout page, you protect your private information, credit card numbers, etc from being distributed to every site you buy from, multiplying the chances of your information being stolen from hackers. I have used PayPal now for 5 years, and it's incredibly easy, and SECURE. Not only that, to send a payment (buy something from a site the accepts it, or send a payment to a friend, etc, is FREE. No fees whatsoever. There are no monthly fees. The only time you would incur a fee is if you RECIEVE a payment, and even then the fee is small. Less than US taxes! And you CAN use it in Canada.

  3. Paypal is a site that protects you from creditcard fraud and other cash scams on the market. Its a 3rd party organization that makes the trade when you buy something online.

Say you purchase something off Ebay and you don't want the person knowing your creditcard numbers, use paypal and it wont give any personal information away.

Paypal is free to use and you can set it up with a creditcard or debit card. Yes you can use it in Canada.
