this is long and complicated. i have felt "sick" for the past 6 months. 6 months ago i found out i have type 2 diabetes. i stopped the depo shot after 8 years back in december. since then i have had a high white blood cell count which can be anything. i have had what seem like hot flashes when i actually dont have a fever. i get night sweats that keep me awake. headaches. feel dizzy and wierd when im in humid and hot weather. all kinds of wierd stuff.

the doctors kept brushing it off saying it was uncontrolled diabetes. i have been doing good with the diabetes. aic 5.9 and i keep my blood sugar really low. i have lost 16 pounds. finally they are listening and know its more but cant figure it out. ive had blood work done several times. i saw an oncologist that said she thought i had leukemia. all tests came back good.

tomorrow i have an appointment with a really good gyn doctor. i think alot of my problems were from stopping the depo after 8 years. im only 24 and my parents made me go on it when i was 15. when i was reading a post from another question i read on the symtoms and things of pcos and alot of my complaints are the same. but nothing in the stopping the depo or pcos sites stated that it could be a result of stopping birthcontrol.

is there anything else i should look at before my appointment tomorrow?

im just trying to figure out whats wrong with me. its been 6 months and its driving me crazy. the fevers and night sweats are ruining my life and making it hard to sleep anymore.

  1. PCOS may include body hair, irregular periods, bad acne, loss of hair on top of head.

I don't know much about depo, but this may help with other info about PCOS:

Here is a easy to understand summary:

There are many medical journal references if you want to print it and take it to your doctor.

I uploaded a 5 minute mp3 from the radio show he had for 25 years explaining PCOS:
