My group member asked me to reload an article I had sent to my group in pdf format. Can someone tell me what this is please and how to do that. Explained very simply please for us non-technical minded group owners. Thanks.

  1. Like the man said, PDF stands for "portable document format", but I do not think that's what you need to know. When you create a document in whatever program you are using, it can only be viewed by people who have the same program installed. If you convert that file to PDF however, it becomes "portable" and can be viewed by everybody who has some sort of PDF viewer installed. Acrobat is only one of many.

    To send it as PDF, you have to convert it to that format, and I suspect that's where your problem comes in.

  3. It's the Adobe Portable Document Format. It's a very common format to convert your Microsoft Word documents, etc into so others can view it without requiring purchasing software. Adobe Reader is free and it will look the same on all computers.
