What is pool running?

mk so ive heard that it will helpl you run faster and stuff but how do you do it cuz i tried running in my pool once and looked like a r****d and so i just went and treaded water for a bit but id like some things i can do in the pool that will help me become a faster xc runner.

please explain how to do them also!

  1. Most athletes run in the pool to get better from their injuries. Or others actually swim to keep in shape.

    you can run in the pool in two way. Shallow pool or deep pool.

    In the shallow pool, just run how you would normally run in dryland. (ie pumping your arms, lean foward, run with your legs)

    In the deep pool, you'll have to purchase something like an Aquajogger, which is a floating device around your waist and it comes with floating devices for your feet (these help alot) and just "run" laps in the pool for 30 minutes - 1 hour each day.

    If you dont want to look like a "r****d" lol you can do this early in the morning, late at night, at a time when not many ppl are there, at a friends pool, at your own pool

    If you dont want to run in the pool, swim laps around the pool. it works your heart really well. it'll make your lungs stronger too
