  1. President Moodie's squinty eyes and million dollar smile.

  2. What will prevent Iran from attacking Israel if it is attacked?

slyblyyy: there are a LOT of sane and reasonable people in Iran, but there are no sane and reasonable people in Israel that's the problem.

  3. they know how to use restraint, and they have no reason to... yet

  4. World War III.

  5. I like the first answer - sanity.  Like other nations, Israel has no wish to attack Iran, just to be left in peace, with war as a last resort in case of self-defense.

  6. Israel is prepared to fight Iran if necessary, but as a nation-state who has not lived a day without war, is not looking for a fight. I believe that if Iran is very close to getting nuclear weapons capabilities Israel will carry out a strike, but fully knowing that Iran will retaliate and a war (likely a world war) will be started. Israel will only do so if they must for their safety.

Remember, Iran is a regional hegemon and power unlike the Arab states that Israel has fought with. Israel realizes this and realizes that there are a LOT of sane and reasonable people in Iran. In fact, there are quite a few Iranian jews (although they no longer live in Iran). Because of this, Israel will try to end this tense conflict diplomatically if at all possible and only in a worst case scenario take active military action against the Tehran regime.

  7. I think that war or a physical attack is always the last resort by a peace loving country.  Physical  attack is last resort when no other option is available.  It is the responsible thing to do.

  8. because Iran can and will fight back. Iran is not like the other arab countries that don't have the resources and capability of fighting back.

  9. At this point Iran is a growing possible threat.  Not a power to be reckoned with.  There is no need for an attack on Iran.  It would just start a international conflict.  They haven't done a thing to allow that to happen.

Yes in conventional war Iran would be a hard enemy, but they are undermanned and not able to defend against air attacks.

More sanctions that are really imposed to stop the flow of money to Hamas and the like would benefit Israel and the world much more.

  10. What is preventing Israel from attacking Iran?  Well the answer is that they are waiting for their surrogates the Stupid Americans to do their dirty work.  Just the same way that the neocons in the American government and Aipac lobbyist group cinvinced Bush and the United States to invade Iraq.  Israel really no longer fights wars directly.  They get others to do it for them.  Much the same way that the Soviet Union got the Cuban soldiers to fight in severalAfrican countries in the 1970's when they were trying to forment communust revolutions in Angola, Mozambique and in Ethiopia.  This way Soviet soldiers did not fight and get killed but many cuban soldiers fought and died in Africa to try and further communist advances in the '70's.

Do a google search on PNAC which stands for Project for a New American Century in which many influential jews in America such as William Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz, Lewis "Scooter" Libby (d**k Cheneys right hand man) all came up with a plan to have a Pearl Harbor type attack against America to convince the American Publicx that America had to fight a never ending war on terrorism in such places as Afghanistan, Iraq  and now in the near future possibly Iran.  All this has benefited Israel as this has weakened it's stronger enemies and has made it safer for them to have more influence in the Middle East.

At this time the United States does not have the military strength to invade Iran since the troop shortage si very severe and there is too much violence in Iraq.  In more than five years the American armed forces have not been able to quell the violence and armed insurrection against the American invaders.  Also the economy in United States is not strong enough to withstand more fighting and military expenditures than it ahs already. (2 billion dollars a week is draining the United States economy and killing it's infrastructure.)

So Israel is really trying to wait until it is possible for them to get the Americans to invade Iran.  Israel really wants USA to fight in Iran and bomb them and their cities in order to destroy their "supposed nuclear weapons".  I suppose these are the same "nuclear weapons that Israel and the USA said that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction..... which weapons were never found because they never existed....

But Israel will not wait forever.  If the Americans don't do it with in 1-2 years form now then Israel will do the bombing of Iran by itself..........

Open letter to President Clinton on Iraq

On January 16, 1998, following perceived Iraqi unwillingness to co-operate with UN weapons inspections, members of the PNAC, including Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, and Robert Zoellick drafted an open letter to President Bill Clinton, posted on its website, urging President Clinton to remove Saddam Hussein from power using U.S. diplomatic, political, and military power. The signers argue that Saddam would pose a threat to the United States, its Middle East allies, and oil resources in the region, if he succeeded in maintaining what they asserted was a stockpile of Weapons of Mass Destruction. They also state: "we can no longer depend on our partners in the Gulf War to continue to uphold the sanctions or to punish Saddam when he blocks or evades UN inspections" and "American policy cannot continue to be crippled by a misguided insistence on unanimity in the UN Security Council." They argue that an Iraq war would be justified by Hussein's defiance of UN "containment" policy and his persistent threat to U.S. interests.[7]

The following is a list of people who supported PNAC and were all appointed by Bush.  (They are all Jewish)

Here is the list.  Many names will be familiar to people but not many may realize that they were all Jewish.

Lewis “Scooter” Libby – National Security advisor for the Vice President.  Indicted by Grand Jury on charges of Obstruction of Justice, False Statements and Perjury and resigned October 28, 2005.

Richard Perle – PNAC founder, Chairman of the Defense Policy Board, Director of the Jerusalem Post.   Had been accused of spying for Israel.

Peter W. Rodman – Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security.

Donald Rumsfeld – Secretary of Defense, and a PNAC founder.  He served as Secretary of Defense (1975-1977) and as Chief of Staff of the White House (1974-1975).

Randy Scheunemann – U.S. Committee on NATO, Project on Transitional Democracies, International Republican Institute, founded the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq.

Paul Wolfowitz – Deputy Secretary of Defense, 2001-2005, considered the ideological father of the group.  Currently, President of World Bank.

U.S. escalating covert operations against Iran - report

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. congressional leaders agreed late last year to President George W. Bush's funding request for a major escalation of covert operations against Iran aimed at destabilizing its leadership, according to a report in The New Yorker magazine published online on Sunday.

Hersh has written previously about possible administration plans to go to war to stop Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons, including an April 2006 article in the New Yorker that suggested regime change in Iran, whether by diplomatic or military means, was Bush's ultimate goal.

Funding for the covert escalation, for which Bush requested up to $400 million, was approved by congressional leaders, according to the article, citing current and former military, intelligence and congressional sources.

Clandestine operations against Iran are not new. U.S. Special Operations Forces have been conducting crossborder operations from southern Iraq since last year, the article said.

These have included seizing members of Al Quds, the commando arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and taking them to Iraq for interrogation, and the pursuit of "high-value targets" in Bush's war on terrorism, who may be captured or killed, according to the article.

But the scale and the scope of the operations in Iran, which include the Central Intelligence Agency, have now been significantly expanded, the article said, citing current and former officials.

Many of these activities are not specified in the new finding, and some congressional leaders have had serious questions about their nature, it said.

So there is more evidence that the US is getting ready to start an incident with Iran so as to be able to justify an attack on Iran with a possible land invasion and occupation of the country.
