I'm going on a trip to Hong Kong leaving from Vancouver B.C.

I know you can't bring any type of fluids that are over 100ml on your carry on but what else is prohibited...

I wanted to bring My HRM for when I go on my run but would there be a problem cause it connects to a satellite.

Any with a good idea of what I can bring are can't bring.

Thanks

  1. you can't bring liquids through security BUT you can buy water and pop in the secure area to bring on board the plane.  You can bring your own music/movies and snacks but leave the peanuts because some folks have a fit if they see peanuts.

If by hrm you mean the hand held satellite radio as I understand the beastie it stores several hours of programming and as long as it doesn't have an antenna it shouldn't try to connect to the bird.  Besides it shouldn't affect any of the navigation instruments on the plane.

  2. Guns, dangerous stuff, of course.

  3. See TSA site below for all regs.  I have no idea what an HRM is, but if you do not turn it on on the airplane, it could not be a problem.  And you are allowed to take cell phones and ipods...so I can't imagine why you could not take the HRM.
