Hi. I have a reservation at x time under the name blank.  

Perhaps you have seen movies where people slip money to maitre'ds for a better table or faster service.  That is not necessary.

Just say Hi and tell them who you are.

You approach their stand, say hello/good evening.  You say your name clearly and the time of your reservations.

If you do not have reservations, you say the number in your party and ask if you can be seated right away.  If they say that they are busy with reservations, then ask the expected amount of time you might have to wait.

"Good evening, I have a reservation for two for 8pm under the name of Mr X".
