What is purple in japanese? (please, english lettering. kanji is unreadable. XD)?

I think it's relativaly easy but i'm not sure.

  1. There are a couple of ways.

    The word "murasaki" is often used for "purple". It can be written both in hiragana as むらさき and in kanji as 紫. If you want to be a little more specific when referring to purple as a color then you can say "murasaki iro" (むらさきいろ/紫色).

    Sometimes a katakana version "paapuru" (パーパル)is also used. Mostly, this is used for proper nouns such as the names of people or places, but sometimes it's used to mean plain old "purple". Please becareful and remember their is a long "a" sound at the beginning. Writing it as "papuru"(パプル)is incorrect.

    There are also different words for different degrees of purple. For example, "violet" is "sumire" or "sumire iro".
