What is " Comparable care is not economically practical"/??? what does it mean?

i was reading the excuses for being excuse from jury duty.

  1. Are you handicapped or have other special needs?

    It sounds like you asked for or indicated on your response form that you need special care in order to fulfill the duties of a juror.  

    It sounds like the cost to meet these requirements (in other words, the cost of providing something comparable to the care you require) was too much for the government, so you were excused from duty.

    I'm not really sure, but that's what it sounds like to me.  If you don't require any special care, it is possible that you accidentally filled out your paperwork incorrectly, or it was processed incorrectly.  Either way, you're off the hook this time, and as long as you did not intentionally mislead anyone, it's nothing to worry about.


  2. It suggests to me that the person excused jury duty was probably a full time carer and that it would cost the carer too much financially as they would have to pay for alternative care whilst they served.
