What is "Disposition (Non Open Market) at ##Question_Title## per share."?

or "Acquisition (Non Open Market) at $0 per share." ?

I check insiders transactions on different stocks some times. I never understood those two terms. Why would someone get rid of so many stocks @ $0 ?

  1. As grants, gifts and donations. A company may give you stocks as grants for your contribution or in lieu of pay. You may then give them away. One of the considerations for doing so is taxes.
