I am not talking about adding heat to make it molten, just plain ole glass.

  1. It will be solid. For more information please follow the link belwo

  2. its usually considered an Amorphous solid(which means its structure has no long range order, think a wall of bricks as having order vs a pile of bricks not). while it will "run" down a window pane over a very long time (months-years) it acts as a solid in the short term, eg hitting it with a hammer will shatter it, it does not move or act like a fluid.

  3. It does not have a sharp melting temperature,a latent heat of melting nor does it have a crystal structure detectable by X-Ray diffraction.CONSEQUENTLY IT IS NOT SOLID,generally it is called a supercooled liquid and most nearly resembles sticky toffee in that you can bend or stretch it it only if you dont allow the stress to rise too fast, you should know what happens if you hit glass or toffee with a sharp tap!

  4. ooof courseeeee it is a solid........

  5. I agree with billy its a liquid

set up a test and find out

  6. an amorphous liquid you might say. Glass resembles a solid because... well it doesn't take the shape of its container and you can't breathe it in. The molecular arrangement of glass resembles liquids in that it is a disordered crystalline lattice; however, the molecules of glass are rigidly bound- hence it will not take the shape of a container. Glass is neither solid nor liquid in a scientific sense of the word.

For lay purposes, glass is a solid.

  7.   Yes glass is a liquid of extreme viscosity.

A window pane does flow but it's flow rate is such that it may take centuries to be noticeable, but it is a liquid.

  8. solid
