  1. It used to be oldest Rail station and freight yard  long time ago and had been called Shiodome yard untill about 20years ago.

    Now the area has been redeveloped to Shiodome  SIO-Site, and changed to new high tower offices, hotels and shopping/restaurants district. The district is next to Tsukiji, Ginza , Tokyo tower and  Shiba Zojyo-ji Temple.

    It is located between Tokyo and Shinagawa on Tokyo bay side, one of newest Tokyo business centers as Odaiba and Roppongi Hills where Key TV company head office is participated in.


  2. Minato-ku is one of 23 wards in Tokyo. Higashi-Shimbashi is smaller unit within Minato-ku.

    I don't know what exactly the difference between district and neighborhood is in English.  But it's something like that.
