  1. ritilin is a drug used for people wih add or adhd i'm guessing it's used for improved focus skills

  2. Ritalin* is a medicine used to treat add/adhd

  3. Ritalin is a mind altering drug that some doctors prescribe to treat ADHD.

    It has NASTY physical and psychological side effects, stunts the growth, causes depression (suicide) and does not help the child. It only helps the teacher!!! The child becomes a little zombi, sitting silently, his brain numbed, cannot learn - he no longer has outbursts and no longer disturbs the class so the teacher is pleased and reports back to the parents that the drug is working. Ignorance at its finest!

    Here is a site that was created in memory of children who were killed by such medications:

    http://www.ritalindeath.com/ADHD-Drug-De...

    Google Ritalin, side effects, adverse reactions, talk to parents... don't be the next victim! You have other, better options!

    Little note on WebMD:

    "it has not been established that medication improves the long-term educational, occupational, and social functioning of a person who has ADHD"

    http://www.webmd.com/add-adhd/guide/atte...

    The only thing that had been proven is that Ritalin puts a ton of money in the pockets of the manufacturer.

    Side effects:

    fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeats;

    feeling like you might pass out;

    fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash;

    aggression, restlessness, hallucinations, unusual behavior, or motor tics (muscle twitches);

    easy bruising, purple spots on your skin; or

    dangerously high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, buzzing in your ears, anxiety, confusion, chest pain, shortness of breath, uneven heartbeats, seizure).

    vision problems;

    mild skin rash;

    dizziness;

    nervous feeling, sleep problems (insomnia);

    nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite; or

    weight loss.

    This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur.  (these were stated by the manufacturer)

  4. a medication to treat add

  5. A medicine for ADD to help you calm down.

  6. yeah. what she said.

  7. Ritalin is a stimulant medication used in the treatment of AD/HD spectrum disorders.  It has has also proven effective in treating patients who have had a traumatic brain injury.

  8. RITALIN is a waaaaaaaaaaay overused drug given to children with hyperactivity disorders.

  9. Methylphenidate (MPH) is a prescription stimulant commonly used to treat Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD. It is also one of the primary drugs used to treat the daytime drowsiness symptoms of narcolepsy and chronic fatigue syndrome. The drug is seeing early use to treat cancer-related fatigue.[3] Brand names of drugs that contain methylphenidate include Ritalin (Ritalina, Rilatine, Attenta, Methylin, Penid, Rubifen); and the sustained release tablets Concerta, Metadate CD, Methylin ER, Ritalin LA, and Ritalin-SR. Focalin is a preparation containing only dextro-methylphenidate, rather than the usual racemic dextro- and levo-methylphenidate mixture of other formulations. A newer way of taking methylphenidate is by using a transdermal patch (under the brand name Daytrana), similar to those used for hormone replacement therapy, nicotine release and pain relief
