  1. Indias caste system is very old and complicated. With this caste system only Indian politics is revolving. This caste system is very shame for India.

  2. In India they used a caste system. It is differnt groups in a social structure.  In the social structure, whatever group you were borninto you stayed there forever. Each group had a differnt social status. LIke a pyramid. The nobility were on the top and slaves and such on the bottom. (this was a caste system but in india the names were differnt) The people in a group could not marry out of their group. Also, each had certain jobs, the people on the bottom of the structure had to do jobs like cleaning sewers, ditch digging, etc.

  3. Caste system is a very improtent system in society formation -- needs detailed study.

Dont be quick to judge it as bad system as western culture oriented indians says.

Every leaves of a tree are not same, all the fingers r not same, every birds r not same , all r similars BUT NOT SAME.

Even a dog has a pedegree, then who makes us (western culture oriented Indians) think that we dont have even a pedegree!!!

    {The Indian caste system describes the social stratification and social restrictions in the Indian subcontinent, in which social classes are defined by thousands of endogamous hereditary groups, often termed as jātis or castes. Within a jāti, there exist exogamous groups known as gotras, the lineage or clan of a person, although in a handful of sub-castes like Shakadvipi, endogamy within a gotra is permitted and alternative mechanisms of restricting endogamy are used (e.g. banning endogamy within a surname)---from wikipedia.}

    Main divisions u know-- 1.Brahman

                                          2.Kshatriya

                                          3.Vaishya

                                          4.Shudra

Either in social body or in our physical body

these divisions are natural, not created as some would say. The head is Brahman- Trunk is Kshatriya- Arms are Vaishya- and legs are Sudra. Each part is essential to thinking, protecting, earning, and working.

Now think of a society-- where the thinkers

are poor Brahman, who thinks only for the rest of the society and worship god.Protecters are Kshatriya , who devote himself to protect other casts of the society.

Vaishya rare businessmen ,they gather property for the prosparity of the society, they r the money power of the society, charity and make the king wealthy-.

Sudra has the most important role to play, to fulfil others dream by physical work.

everybody thinks they are most neglected part -- but in the vedic age in rig veda we found -during yogga the first result of the yogga or yoggafal were devoted to them , then  Vaishya, then Kshatriya and then Brahman. All the upper three classes were engaged for betterment of their qualities, while lower three classes were controlled by

poor Brahman, though they had less earthly

    belongigns, almost half naked prists.

What is the importence of caste in marriage??

Todays s*x driven people wont understand.

                      But....

Along side India, - Egypt is another old civilization. why they quit to exist? while we still exist!!! Historians and Scientists are saying in Egypt there was massive family marriage -- and after that there number just decreases day by day. We Hindus know actuall there was inter family marriage means - marriage within same Gotram.

Hindus know (from Vedic age) it is not only shameful but also a threat to existence.

We have the science within Veda, still modern world dont know, and those who know -- are more attracted to western culture ,because it promotes their vulgar nature.

According to qualities Satwa, Raja, Tama--

At the end of the KALI yug- Tama is increasing(sudra thought) and there is very less Satwattic Brahman to control them all.

It is inevitable according to Kalki Puran-- everything has been told before.Intercaste marriage will be increased , gives rise to new kind of diseases , new problems for existence-- but those who have faith in their culture will survive after the destruction in a new age Satya yug.

  4. he Indian caste system has been in use for many years.  Still today the values of the caste system are held strongly.  It has kept a sense of order, and peace among the people.  There are five different levels of the system: Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra, and Harijans. Within each of these categories are the actual "castes" or jatis within which people are born, marry, and die. They all have their own place among each other and accept that it is the way to keep society from disintegrating to chaos.  This system has worked well for Indian people and still has a major role in modern India.
