  1. Double: You hit the ball two times in a row with out some one else touching it before your second time (illegal)

Block: 1 or 2 (usually 2) players jump up with their hands up at the front of the net to try and block the ball (which came from a spike) from going over the net.

Dig: You dive for the ball (usually using 1 hand) and bump the ball back up to save it from hitting the ground

  2. a double is illegal, it's when your bump or set isn't even or together and the ball spins the wrong way

a block is when, you block a ball from being hit onto your side. you jump up at the net and you put both hands up and hit the ball back onto the opponent's side

a dig, is a bump basically. digs are usually refered to when you dive to get a ball

  3. Doubles is an illegal contact of the ball. Its most common with setters. For example if a setter goes to set the ball and both her hands dont touch the ball at same time, the ref will call double contact. The only time a double contact is legal is when it is the first contact on serve receive.

A block is where a player jumps up with two hands above the net and blocks the other sides hitter from hitting the ball over the net.

A dig is where someone passes a hit from the other side of the net.

  4. A double hit is an illegal hit where the ball hits parts of the body at different times.  The most common double hit is when the ball hits one hand and then the other hand.

A block is where the defensive player stops the ball from crossing the net at the net by jumping and putting their hands above the net.

A dig is where the defensive player stops the offensive attack (a spike or a tip) from hitting the floor.
