  1. Internet

  2. Apple started naming its products with ''i'' starting from the launch of 'iMac'. Apple declared the "i" in iMac to stand for "Internet". In '98, the internet was still out of reach for most people and so the idea of a computer that was "internet ready" was something radical. With the advent of 'personal computers' around about the same time, the "i" in iMac had a greater significance. Apple promoted its product as a computer that was truly personal, referring to "i" as in "me". Pleased with this successful brand name, Apple sticked to the "i" tag for all its personalised products like iPod, iTunes and more recently, the iPhone.

  3. the "i" evolved from internet. It started out with the iMac or "internet Mac". from there it has become apple's trademark.

  4. dunno

  5. If you mean the i as in the iPhone name, Apple started making iPods. Then when the iPhone came out instead of a "Pod" they changed it into "Phone".
