  1. "Implantation bleeding" is a small amount of blood that is sometimes shed when the fertilised egg burrows into the lining of the uterus.

    Not all women experience it, but if they do, it's usually around 2 weeks prior to the time the woman's period would normally begin.


  2. Implantational bleeding is (just as it sounds) bleeding that occurs when the egg implants. Since most women ovulate 14 days prior to the 1st day of their next period, it usually occurs right before or during the time you would be expecting your period.
