  1. We always plant a tree on a dead pet.  This has two purposes as the pet provides nutrients and the tree provides a memorial.

  2. Ready grown plant, you will have fruit the first year in most cases!

  3. I am agree with John and want to add something:

    1.  Please add some amount of azadirchata indica cake or tobacco water to protect from insect / pest or diseases.

    2. While filling pack the pit very carefully so that no air pocket should remain in the soil.

    3. Pit size depends upon the plant you are going to plant, but at least for a tree plant if plant lets is 100 cm height dig 60cm X 60CM X 60CM pit.

    4. Humus ration 40% humus+10% Sand + 50% Soil  will give you better result.

    5.  First time pour water to remove all the air pockets and to settle down the soil in better way. from the next time light irrigation should be followed as per soil reqiuierement.

  4. Most varietal fruit trees are grafted onto hardy root stock so purchasing young established trees ensures you will get the variety you want.  If you purchase a tree you should place it in a pit that is twice the size of the root ball.  If it is a bare root tree your pit should be twice the size of the roots spread out.  It is a good idea to add peat moss, some fertilizer to stimulate growth, and potting soil to the pit.  I would thoroughly water the pit after planting to eliminate void spaces and ensure good root contact between the plant and the soil.

  5. First, you never want to grow fruit trees from seed.  When planting fruit trees, dig your hole a little deeper than you need to in order to cover the ball or roots.  Work in some dried horse manure into the bottom of the hole and cover it with some fresh dirt so that it won't be in direct contact with the tree roots.  Plant your tree working in a generous amount of organic compost into the soil as you pack in the tree.  Water the tree well.
