my ex bf put it on my computer.. why would he put this on there.. what does it do?

Coffee Cup is a zip file program - for instance for sending pictures, videos, etc. compressed. It will also unzip files.

Uplink is a networking term for a Ethernet cable connected to a router or switch. However, in your case, Uplink could be a video game or discussion forum. They appear to be harmless to your computer.
